Versele Laga Nutribird B18 is a high protein complete feed that is suitable for budgies & other small parakeets. The higher protein content makes this food a viable option over the breeding & moulting periods, helping birds grow.
The lower carbohydrate content also lends itself towards the less active lifestyle of breeding & moulting birds. All of the pellets are produced with fresh fruit which is made part of the pellets through a puree form helping to improve the taste of the pellets bringing them closer to a more natural nutritional standard.
Yucca extract is included as they are extremely beneficial. Yucca binds to the ammoniac of the digestive system helping to reduce the smell of the droppings.
Accustoming birds to pellets.
- Teach them to recognize pellets as a food source by having them as 10% of their normal feed.
- During the switch pellets and seeds aren’t mixed but seeds become available after lengthening periods of time.
